A screenshot of the letter is getting viral on social media bearing the letterhead of Bharatiya Janata Party, Delhi Pradesh, written by BJP Delhi asking BJP supporters to incite violence on January 26, 2021, against the farmers' tractor rally. The letter has been allegedly signed off by Rajesh Bhatia whose designation has been mentioned as general secretary and state party office chief.
A Twitter user name Surendra Rajput, media panelist of the Indian National Congress Tweeted the viral letter on January 18, 2021.

Former General Secretary Rajesh Bhatia clarified on his official Twitter account that the viral letter issued by his name is fake. He wrote, "Someone is mischievously trying to defame me by circulating a forged letter on BJP Delhi office letterhead, under my signature, I strongly condemn this, I have respect for the farmers".He also shared the photo of a complaint lodged by him in Delhi's Rajendra Nagar Police Station.
According to the news article of Aaj Tak Delhi BJP leader Rajesh Bhatia has filed a police complaint that someone has circulated a fake letter on his letter head. This letter has been written against the protesting farmers. Bhatia said that fake news is being spread among the farmers in the name of the BJP leader. About which a complaint was lodged. Police is currently investigating the case.
On this issue, State media chief Naveen Kumar issued a statement saying that a letter issued in the name of former state General Secretary Rajesh Bhatia is completely misleading and bogus. In this regard, a complaint has been lodged with the Delhi police and an investigation of a serious nature is demand. Nav Kumar appealed to the public saying that they should not come under Provocation or influence of those people who want to create tension by spreading fake and misleading news.
According to a news Rajesh Bhatia said “I condemn the coward act of those, who did it, to defame me, my party and to derail the ongoing talk between the farmers and the union government. How can I do this, as I am respectable, responsible citizen of this nation? Farmers are also a citizen of this nation, as I am and we all are brothers, a family.”even presently I am not even a secretary of the BJP Delhi unit, on which letterhead, the fake letter is being circulated.
